Two Men Arrested Following Early Morning Incident In Shanklin

Police were called to Victoria Avenue, Shanklin, in the early hours of Saturday (6 September) following reports of an altercation between two men.
Officers arrived at around 5.54am and found a man in his 40s with facial injuries.
It was reported that another man had fled the scene.
Shortly afterwards, police attended an address on High Street, Brading, where a man in his 30s was discovered with a neck injury.
Both men were arrested in connection with the incident and taken to hospital for treatment.
A 36-year-old man from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and aggravated burglary.
He has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
A 40-year-old man from Shanklin was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in hospital.
Police say an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.
