Two Men Admit Burglary at Sandown Boots Pharmacy

Two men have admitted breaking into the Boots Pharmacy on Sandown High Street in the early hours of Sunday 25 January.
Police were called at around 3:58am after the store’s alarm was triggered.
Officers found a smashed window and discovered that prescription medication and the store’s till had been stolen.
Reece James Chilcott, 34, from Westridge Road, Southampton, and Billy Brian Chilcott, 31, from Culver Parade, Sandown, were charged and pleaded guilty to burglary at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27 January.
Billy Brian Chilcott is due to be sentenced at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday 6 February, while Reece James Chilcott will appear at Isle of Wight Crown Court for sentencing on Friday 27 February.
The case follows a recent spate of burglaries at Boots pharmacies on the Island.
