Triple Triumph — Bay CE School Girls’ Football Team Sweeps Season With Trophy Hattrick

The Bay CE School U13 girls’ football team had an incredibly successful season, securing 3 out of 3 medals in the Isle of Wight schools competitions.
The Bay CE School team beat Cowes Enterprise College 1-0 in a nail biting encounter in the last game of the season, Maisy M scored the winning goal.
This victory not only sealed the win on the day but also capped off an incredible unbeaten league campaign, confirming the U13’s as well-deserved league champions.
Winning the Island League gave them a place at the Hampshire finals in Stoneham, Southampton where they were runners up.
At the island 6-a-side competition held at Cowes Enterprise College, the Year 7 team won all of their games, with Jess L and Daisy T playing key roles, scoring all of the team’s goals in the tournament.
Their outstanding performances helped the team to secure the gold medal and top the tournament standings.
The team played with great determination and spirit, demonstrating excellent defensive and attacking play in each match.
At the same tournament, the Year 8 team delivered a commendable defensive performance, demonstrating discipline and resilience throughout.
They remained unbeaten, drawing all of their matches, and ultimately secured a well-deserved second-place finish.

“What a fantastic achievement for the U13 team! We are very proud of the team and our new PE teacher Miss Glenn, who joined The Bay in September.
"She is a highly talented PE teacher and has extensive experience of coaching and playing sport at a high level and currently plays football for Shanklin ladies 1st team.
"The U13 girls’ have benefitted from Miss Glenn’s knowledge, skills and expertise and have had an incredible season.”
