Following the huge success of the first Island Women ‘In Conversation’ event in March, the next gathering is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd April at the Island Sailing Club.
The event is open to everyone.
“It was great to see over 70 women attend the first one,” says founder Cheryl Buggy.
“Hearing the fascinating stories of some of our amazing Island women was really uplifting and inspiring.”
Guest speakers for the evening include Rosie Drake-Amery, who champions sustainability in fashion; sisters Carrie and Rachel Almond, founders of a thriving wedding business; and Ellen Penstone-Smith, creator of the award-winning walled garden at Farringford, the former home of the poet Tennyson.
Ticket sales will support local charities, with £9.50 tickets available at members.islandsc.org.uk/events.
Cheryl Buggy is also inviting anyone interested in appearing on the Island Women online podcast series to get in touch.
