Red Funnel is once again inviting Isle of Wight businesses and residents to shine a spotlight on the unsung stars of the tourism industry on the Island by nominating their Tourism Hero for 2025.

Introduced last year as part of the annual Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards, this special accolade celebrates those that go the extra mile to make the Isle of Wight a truly unforgettable destination.

Whether it’s an inspiring entrepreneur, a passionate employee, or a tireless volunteer, the Tourism Hero award recognises individuals who consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences for visitors.

Islanders are encouraged to nominate their Tourism Hero by 31st August 2025, ready to announce the winner at the Isle of Wight Awards Ceremony in November.

Red Funnel CEO, Fran Collins, shared her excitement about the award: "The Isle of Wight is home to so many incredible people that bring our tourism industry to life. The first Tourism Hero title was awarded in 2024 to Paddy McHugh, event organiser and Chair of the Newport Carnival and Community Events Association, who was recognised for his outstanding contribution to the Island’s tourism and community spirit.
