Sandown Family Events Group To Bring Free Christmas Fun Day to Town

Sandown is set to celebrate the festive season with its annual Christmas Fun Day, bringing free entertainment and festive cheer to families on the Isle of Wight.

The event, organised entirely by volunteers from Sandown Family Events, will take place on Saturday 13th December 2025, from 10:30am to 3:30pm on Sandown High Street.

It has become a cherished local tradition, providing a festive experience that is accessible to all families, without the costs of travelling off-island.

Organisers say the Fun Day is about more than just entertainment — it’s about community spirit, laughter, and joy, offering families a chance to come together despite financial or travel barriers.

In addition to the Fun Day, Sandown Family Events also supports children in local care homes by providing Christmas gifts, making the festive season brighter for young Islanders.

This year, the group still needs to raise £1,700 to cover the costs of the Fun Day and the care home gifts.
