Ryde School's 2026 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results are the best in its history.
Results published this week revealed Ryde pupils achieved an exceptional average score of 35.8, significantly outperforming the global average of 30.88 points.
The IBDP, scored out of 45 points, saw 25 percent of candidates gain 40 points or more, a feat equivalent to A*A*A at A Level.Â
Head Master Will Turner said the record-breaking performance reflected the dedication and academic ambition of the 2026 cohort.
"These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work of our pupils and staff," he said.
"To achieve the best historical average in the School's history is a phenomenal achievement for this group of pupils and they can be incredibly proud of their achievements."
The School's deputy head girl, Livia, an Island resident, was among the top performers, securing 39 points and a prestigious place at the University of Oxford to study French and Italian.
Other university places were gained at various top universities, including Durham and University College London.
Ryde School offers the IBDP alongside the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) and A Levels, ensuring pupils have pathways for every academic level and learning style.
The IB grades for those taking the IBCP were also released, with excellent grades being achieved.Â
The final outcomes of Ryde pupils taking the IBCP will be shared in August when the BTEC grades, which make up part of their course, are released alongside A Level results.Â
