The Ryde Information Support Service, or RISS, continues to make a real difference for the local community, providing free, friendly support to help residents with a wide range of practical tasks and access essential services.
Based at Ryde Library, the service reached over 200 people just last month, helping with everything from CV preparation to renewing driving licences and requesting repeat prescriptions.
They’ve even assisted with applications for postal votes, translations of foreign marriage certificates, online newspaper notices, and replacement vehicle logbooks.
The service is available:
Monday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
1st Wednesday of the month: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
1st Saturday of the month: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Seve and Anne, who both used the service, said:
“Thank you so much for helping us with internet regarding our application for Universal Credit!.
"We wouldn’t have done this without your time and assistance.”
For anyone needing help with paperwork, applications, or other essential tasks, RISS offers a welcoming and supportive service to make life a little easier in Ryde.
