This year's Ryde Carnival Main Parade will follow a different route because of an emergency road closure by Southern Water.

Organisers say the usual route cannot be used because of the closure.

The parade will now start and finish on Dover Street, travelling via:

Dover Street → Park Road → Star Street → High Street → Union Street → Esplanade → Dover Street

As a result, the parade will miss part of the Esplanade which would normally be included in the route.

There has also been a change to the assembly arrangements.

Participants should now gather along The Strand, accessing the assembly area via East Hill Road before turning into The Strand.

Organisers are hopeful that the usual route can be restored for the Illuminated Carnival on Saturday 5 September, although this will depend on the road closure situation.

Further updates will be posted on Ryde Carnival's social media channels.

The core loop of granny 1 relies heavily on environmental audio cues and spatial awareness. Every movement inside the house carries weight; dropping an item or stepping on a creaky floorboard alters the enemy's patrol path in real-time. This dynamic creates a sophisticated stealth puzzle where players must constantly calculate risk versus reward. Granny 1 forces you to memorize layout configurations, item spawn locations, and escape routes while managing immense psychological pressure.
