Police Appeal For Information After Cowes Assault

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Cowes.

The incident happened on Cowes High Street at around 3pm on Saturday, 8 August.

Officers say a man approached a group of people he did not know before striking a 37-year-old man.

The victim fell to the ground and suffered a fracture to his right knee. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has now released an image of a man officers believe may be able to help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him or has information about the assault is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference number 44260383530.
