Premier Motors is teaming up with Wildheart Animal Sanctuary as the charity celebrates 50 years of caring for animals on the Isle of Wight.

The partnership comes as Premier Motors launches its new Peugeot franchise at its Riverway dealership in Newport.

The dealership will donate £25 to Wildheart Animal Sanctuary for every qualifying new Peugeot sold, with customers also invited to make a voluntary donation.

Anyone who matches the £25 contribution will be entered into a prize draw to win a lion experience at the Sanctuary.

The partnership will also see Premier Motors employees given free entry to Wildheart, so they can learn more about the charity's work.

Wildheart CEO Lawrence Bates said:

“We are so excited to be teaming up with Premier Motors in what is a milestone year for us both.
“All money raised from this charity partnership will go towards the £2m it costs every year to look after the rescued animals who call our Sanctuary home.
“We are hugely grateful to the team at Premier Motors for making us their charity partner and we look forward to working together in the years to come.”

Premier Motors Dealer Principal Neil Gordon said the partnership would provide “an ongoing source of support” for the Sanctuary.

The Peugeot showroom at Riverway features the manufacturer's range of passenger cars and electric vehicles, alongside Premier Motors' Ford and MG franchises.

Premier Motors says it plans to extend the £25 donation scheme to its Ford and MG franchises in the future.
