Police Close Access To Binstead Beach Amid Ongoing Incident Near Ryde

Police cordoned off access to a beach near Ryde as officers responded to an ongoing incident in the area last night (Sunday).

Police closed off access to Players Beach in Binstead while dealing with an incident.

Officers remained in attendance long into the night at the secluded beach, which sits between Fishbourne and Ryde, where the access path was taped off as a precaution.

Detectives from Newport CID were also seen at the scene as enquiries continued.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed, and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has been approached for further information.
