Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones and Chief Constable Scott Chilton have taken part in a live online Q&A session, answering questions from the public on issues including anti-social behaviour, police visibility and road safety.
The Commissioner’s Oversight of Policing Services (COPS) event was streamed on Thursday night (2 October) across three Facebook pages, attracting over 160 pre-submitted questions and dozens more via the live chat.
The most common topics included e-scooters, speeding, rural crime, knife crime and the role of the PCC. Questions also covered officer integrity and recruitment.
PCC Donna Jones said the forum was an opportunity to “engage directly with communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight” and to “provide answers and reassurance on the crimes and issues that matter most to people.”
A recording of the session is available to watch on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s website.
The video allows viewers to skip to sections covering specific issues, including police visibility, anti-social behaviour and officer integrity.
