An evening of classical music will take place at the historic grounds of Osborne House this summer — raising funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight in the process.
Saturday July 26 will see the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra perform a selection of Proms classics, from Elgar to Tchaikovsky and Mascagni to Vaughan Williams, at the former home of Queen Victoria.
Early bird tickets are now on sale, with guests invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the event under the stars, which will be rounded off with a spectacular fireworks finale.
For those hoping to travel light, there will be a range of local artisan food and drink providers on site.
Nigel Hartley MBE, Chief Executive of Mountbatten, said:
“What glorious surroundings to enjoy an open-air event with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra!
“Thank you to the team behind Osborne Proms ’25 for organising this event to raise money for Mountbatten.”
Paul Cox, Event Director for Osborne Proms ‘25, added:
“We are thrilled to bring the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to such a prestigious venue on the Island.
“Osborne House is the perfect backdrop for a summer evening of first-class entertainment, and we’re delighted to be supporting our local hospice.”
