Man Arrested After Late-Night Disturbance In Ryde

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and theft following a late-night incident in Ryde.

Police were called to an address on The Strand at around 11:51pm after reports of a disturbance.

A woman in her 30s, from Ryde, suffered minor injuries to her finger during the incident.

Following enquiries, a 35-year-old man from Ryde was arrested at an address on Warwick Street on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH) and theft.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the man remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
