Lake Parish Councillors formally opened the newly landscaped New Road Public Space, alongside the new Public Toilets, and the renovated information panel and notice board.

The £200,000+ investment has secured grant funding, and includes family friendly facilities, CCTV, and accessible features.

Parish Chair Cllr Paul Brading said 'Following local consultation, we've been able install new facilities at New Road, Lake Cliff Gardens, and re-opened Slipway Toilets, and we would like to thank all involved in making this possible.'

The project plan included working with local business Partners, the Bay Place Plan, Men In Sheds, and other organisations, with the Parish Council committed to further consultation to help plan and install the next phase of the project.

Cllr Brading concluded 'With our monthly meetings now at the Meeting Place, next to New Road, we welcome local residents popping along to contribute their ideas to this and other initiatives being planned by the Parish Council.'
