Isle of Wight-born pianist and composer Thomas Luke is set to release his debut album of original music, See Me Now, on Friday 16 January.

Known for winning the Keyboard Category of BBC Young Musician 2020, Thomas has performed on stages across the globe, including London’s Wigmore Hall, Leipzig’s Weißes Haus, the Xiamen International Conference Center, and Fort Worth’s Van Cliburn Concert Hall.

Since his early musical beginnings on the Island—playing keyboard games on the organ with his grandfather and taking his first piano lessons at age four — Thomas has carved a career that blends classical concert repertoire with his own compositions and innovative multi-piano arrangements.

Hailed as a “trailblazer” by Steinway & Sons, he has already made history performing the inaugural Steinway SpirioCast between two UK institutions.

Thomas’ accolades include the Prix Monti at the 2025 Piano Campus International Competition and recognition from the Vienna International Music Competition for his “outstanding talent, remarkable musicality, and accomplished technique.”

In 2024, he was one of just 24 young artists worldwide selected for the PianoTexas International Festival, receiving guidance from renowned pianists including Lang Lang, Arie Vardi, and Stephen Kovacevich.

Thomas’ new album, See Me Now, represents a deeply personal journey of reflection and artistic identity.

The work blends contemporary classical music with influences from jazz, ambient styles, and layered piano arrangements.

First single, Onwards, is already available online.

The album explores themes of memory, formation, and the natural world, while pushing beyond traditional classical boundaries into a unique, genre-defying sound.

Now studying at the Royal College of Music under Vanessa Latarche, Thomas continues to receive mentorship from Alim Beisembayev and is the Margaret Mount Scholar supported by the Cotes-Burgan Scholarship.

Despite performing worldwide, Thomas says the Isle of Wight remains an integral part of his story and inspiration.

See Me Now will be released on 16 January 2026, and Thomas hopes listeners will connect with the album’s personal and reflective journey.
