Hospital Staff And Volunteers Recognised At Isle Of Wight NHS Trust Awards

Outstanding staff, teams and volunteers from across Isle of Wight NHS Trust have been honoured at the Trust's annual Delivering Excellence Awards.

Held at GG's in Newport, the event celebrated the achievements of individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond in caring for patients, families and communities across the Island.

More than 250 nominations were submitted by patients, colleagues and partner organisations, recognising exceptional care, kindness and professionalism.

One of the evening's top awards, the People's Choice Award, was presented to Student Nurse Apprentice Karolina Adamski.

She was recognised for her compassionate, patient-centred approach to care, particularly when supporting people living with dementia and those with additional needs.

Chief Executive Penny Emerit said the awards were an opportunity to celebrate the people who help make the Trust an exceptional place to work and receive care.

Among the other winners were Alexis O'Shaughnessy for Improving Patient Safety, Emma Fisher and Stuart Harris and Iain Hendey for Inspirational Leadership, Katarina Langus as Rising Star, and the Specialist Paramedic Team, who were named Clinical Team of the Year.

The Chief Executive's Award went to Olivia Gardiner, while Dr Laura Bohane received the Chair's Award.
