The Isle of Wight Ghost Experience is celebrating an extraordinary milestone this year, entering its 32nd season of spine‑tingling Haunted History Walks.

What started as a small, curious gathering has grown into one of the Island’s most enduring traditions, attracting thousands of visitors eager to explore the darker side of local history.

For more than three decades, the walks have combined folklore, storytelling, and historical insight, creating experiences that are as educational as they are eerie.

Generations of families return year after year to hear new tales, revisit old favourites, and share the thrill of a ghost story under the night sky.

This season, walks take place across four atmospheric locations:

  • Tuesdays – Ventnor Botanic Garden: Exotic beauty by day, transformed at dusk into a maze of rustling leaves, shadows, and haunting stories.

  • Wednesdays – Newport: The historic county town reveals centuries of secrets, from forgotten crimes to lingering spirits in its ancient streets.

  • Thursdays – Arreton Barns: One of the Island’s oldest sites, where folklore, tragedy, and mystery intertwine, offering visitors an uncanny sense of the past.

  • Sundays – Shanklin Old Village: Twisting streets and centuries‑old cottages provide the perfect backdrop for tales that send shivers down the spine.

Across all locations, guests can expect plenty of laughs, scares, and theatrical storytelling, a hallmark of the Ghost Experience.

Founder Marc Tuckey said:

“I can’t believe we are celebrating 32 years of walks. Over the years we’ve taken generations of families to discover the darker side of the Island.”

Tickets are available via TicketSource, and updates, photos, and seasonal announcements can be found on the Isle of Wight Ghost Experience Facebook page.

Step into the shadows this season and discover the stories that refuse to rest.
