Mountbatten Isle of Wight is calling on Islanders to take part in this year’s Go Yellow campaign to raise funds for its 24/7 end-of-life care services.
The event takes place on 10 October 2025, with residents, schools, businesses and community groups encouraged to wear, bake, decorate, or do anything in yellow to help support the hospice.
Money raised will go towards services delivered in people’s homes, at Mountbatten’s inpatient unit, and through the John Cheverton Centre in Newport.
Ideas to get involved include yellow-themed raffles, bake sales, fashion shows, charity sports matches, or even sitting in a bath of custard for sponsorship.
Schools and workplaces are also being encouraged to host their own “Go Yellow” days.

A special Big Yellow High Tea will also be on offer at the John Cheverton Centre Café in Newport from 6–10 October, giving people the chance to support the campaign while enjoying an afternoon treat.
Organiser Harri McNeil said:
“Go Yellow on 10 October is a brilliant way to support Mountbatten Isle of Wight in a way that works for you.
"Dress up, eat cake or raffle yellow items — there are so many ways to get involved.
"Whatever you do, make it yellow!”
