Investigation Underway Following Early Hours Shoe Shop Burglary

An investigation is underway after a break-in at a family-run footwear store in Newport at the weekend.

Police are investigating a burglary which occurred at around 2am on Sunday (10 August) at Bernard’s shoe shop on St James Street.

Nothing was reported stolen.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
