Isle of Wight indie-folk artist Ben Allman has released his evocative 3-track EP named 'Tideborn'.
Blending acoustic melodies with lush soundscapes in a journey through the changing tides of nature and emotion, Tideborn is available to stream now.
Inspired by the Island’s landscapes, its people, and their hopes and fears, the EP combines subtle guitar textures, lush harmonies, and seascapes with oblique lyricism, creating a sound that is both timeless and contemporary.
Each track on Tideborn explores themes of nature, change, and the human condition.
From the fear of polluted seas in Blind Eye to an outcast’s redemption in Landslide, the EP delivers a compact yet immersive listening experience.
Produced by Jon Thorne [Lamb, James Yorkston], the project captures the intimacy of folk music while embracing modern production techniques.
“I wanted Tideborn to reflect aspects of the island, but not in a literal sense,” says Allman.
“It’s music for introspection and movement, a reminder that change is possible - environmentally, physically and emotionally.”
Ideal for playlists, radio sessions, and folk features, Tideborn resonates with fans of contemporary folk, acoustic storytelling, and evocative soundscapes.
