Roadworks on Horsebridge Hill on the Isle of Wight are now expected to finish earlier than planned.
The closure, which has affected traffic travelling between Newport, Isle of Wight and Cowes, Isle of Wight, is set to end on 27 March — around three weeks ahead of schedule.
While work continues, drivers are being diverted via Forest Road, Whitehouse Road, Rolls Hill and Pallance Road.
Elsewhere on the Isle of Wight, Elenors Grove, which links Wootton, Isle of Wight and Ryde, Isle of Wight, remains closed due to works being carried out by Southern Water.
The closure, which affects traffic heading towards Ryde, is now expected to finish a week earlier than first planned — on 20 March.
Drivers and passengers travelling to or from the Isle of Wight are being advised to check travel updates and allow extra time for their journeys while the disruption continues.
