The full list of candidates standing in next month’s Isle of Wight Council elections has been published.


The official Statement of Persons Nominated, released today (Friday), confirms who will be contesting each electoral division across the Island ahead of polling day on May 7.


Voters will head to the polls to elect councillors across all wards on the Island, with candidates representing a wide range of political parties including the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, Green Party, Reform UK, Island Independent Network, Vectis Party and Independents.


The publication of the list marks a key stage in the run-up to the elections, giving residents a clear view of who is standing in their area.


Polling day is Wednesday, May 7.
