Air Ambulance Attends Life-Threatening Emergency In Newport

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has attended a life-threatening emergency in Newport this evening (Tuesday).
The aircraft landed at Isobel Park shortly after 19:00, as specialist medics responded to an incident at an address on Wellesley Way in Bluebell Meadows.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called just before 18:55, with an ambulance, critical care paramedic and operational commander sent to the scene.
The air ambulance crew joined local emergency services to provide enhanced pre-hospital care to a man.
Wellesley Way was partially blocked by emergency vehicles while crews dealt with the incident.
The incident was brought to a conclusion at around 20:00, with the air ambulance leaving the Island and returning to base.
