Voters in Cowes North will choose from four candidates in the upcoming Isle of Wight Council elections, following the departure of the area’s current representative.
Standing in the ward are Ian Arnold (Reform UK), Siobhan Barney (Conservatives), Richard Hollis (Independent) and Jock Rafferty (Labour).

Siobhan Barney (Local Conservatives)
Siobhan Barney runs a London-based business but says Cowes is firmly her home.
She has a passion for restoring historic buildings and currently serves as a Cowes Town Councillor, focusing on supporting the local community.
Richard Hollis (Independent)
Richard Hollis has extensive experience in local government, having served as a councillor both on the mainland and the Isle of Wight.
He is currently involved in Cowes Town Council and says he is committed to independent representation, supporting local industries and improving services.
Jock Rafferty (Labour)
Jock Rafferty has been a Cowes Town Councillor since 2019 and currently chairs the council’s projects committee.
He says his focus is on delivering tangible improvements and continuing to make a positive impact locally.
