The Isle of Wight Literary Festival’s popular LitFeast strand returns this October – and it promises a feast of culinary talent.

Running from 9–12 October at Northwood House, Cowes, LitFeast brings together chefs, writers and food experts for live demonstrations, tastings and talks.

The star attraction on Saturday 12 October is Dame Prue Leith, the face of The Great British Bake Off, who will give a Seabourn-sponsored talk at noon at Cowes Enterprise College.

She’ll be discussing her bestselling book Life’s Too Short to Stuff a Mushroom.

Joining her on the Saturday line-up are:

  • Candice Brown – winner of The Great British Bake Off in 2016

  • Natasha Edwards of the Garlic Farm – sharing recipes from her new book The Goodness of Garlic

  • Laura May (The Kitchen Witch) – demonstrating recipes from Kitchen Magic

  • Charlotte Pike – showcasing winter warmers from The Soup Solution

Adding some sparkle, wine expert Helen McGinn returns on Thursday 9 October at 6pm for a special tasting session.

HTP Apprenticeship College is sponsoring this year’s LitFeast, supporting both the event kitchen and providing students to help run the weekend.

Tickets for all Isle of Wight Literary Festival events are on sale now.
