East Cowes residents rolled up their sleeves on Friday for a community effort to help spruce up the town.
Around 40 volunteers – from young children to older residents – came together for the latest Rubbish Networking event, organised by Island-based NOSY Creative Agency.
The group collected litter from the beach, town centre, streets and other public spaces, filling multiple bags and leaving the area looking much tidier.
April Turner, NOSY’s Operations Director, said:
“We organise these events to show how small environmental actions can add up to a much bigger impact.
"It was fantastic to see so many families taking part – by the end of the day, the town looked so much cleaner.
"It’s about connecting people, building pride, and making a positive difference to where we live.”
Betapak Ltd provided equipment and ensured all rubbish was disposed of responsibly.
Among those taking part was East Cowes town councillor Cameron Palin, who said:
“It was a great experience to meet so many like-minded people, and a refreshing way to network outside of the usual setting.
"Conversations flowed naturally while we made a meaningful difference to our community.”
Organisers say Rubbish Networking will return later this year, encouraging even more Islanders to get involved.
