A special community event is coming to the Isle of Wight this April, with a screening of the award-winning documentary ‘Rescued Hearts’ hosted by Anthea Payne Animal Healing at Quay Arts, Newport, on Sunday 19th April.

The film explores the profound bond between humans and horses, inspired by stories like a seven year-old child with autism speaking his first words while interacting with a horse.

Through personal stories, expert insights, and research, the documentary examines how horses can foster healing and transformation for both humans and animals.

The evening will include a drinks reception, the film screening, and a live panel discussion and Q&A featuring local practitioners in equine and human wellbeing.

A silent auction will also take place, supporting World Horse Welfare and Bodsters CIC.

The panel includes:

  • Dr Kim Brown PhD – Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Nature Therapy CIC

  • Jo & Giles Bodster – Equine Assisted Learning Specialists, Bodsters CIC

  • Anthea Payne BA(Hons) – Human & Equine Healer/Communicator

Event host Anthea Payne works locally and internationally, supporting animals and their guardians through holistic care that balances emotional and physical wellbeing.
