Aspire Creative Hub is inviting young people to form, rehearse, and perform in a real band with the launch of its new Build a Band project in Shanklin.
The weekly sessions take place every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Furzehill Road, Shanklin, PO37 7PA, and are open to all young people with an interest in music — no experience necessary.
Participants will have access to professional music equipment, including drums, guitars, keyboards, microphones, recording facilities, and dedicated rehearsal rooms.
Each session is led by Aspire’s experienced music team, guiding young musicians through songwriting, teamwork, and preparation for live performances when the group is ready.
Meme Cullen, Music Lead at Aspire Creative Hub, said:
"Our young people deserve spaces where their creativity and confidence can grow.
"This is an amazing place to be if you want to learn what it’s really like to be in a band.
"Our professional tutors support you every step of the way, helping build skills, confidence, self-esteem, and make new friends."
The programme gives participants the chance to explore different instruments, collaborate with peers, and work towards performing live as a band.
