The Isle of Wight’s Butterfly World is set to be transformed into a post-apocalyptic nightmare this Halloween — with Apocalypse Rising, an immersive scare event for thrill-seekers aged 16 and over.
Taking place on Thursday 31 October 2025 at 7.30pm, the alcohol-free event promises a mix of high-intensity horror and atmospheric entertainment.
At its core is the Apocalypse Scare Maze – a walk-through attraction set in a crumbling, smoke-filled world where unsettling characters lurk around every corner. Organisers say it will be “survival of the fittest – and the fearless.”
But it’s not all terror...
Guests can experience a live owl show, with majestic birds of prey flying under the night sky, as well as live music from a singer performing haunting ballads and seasonal favourites.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available on the night, along with themed photo opportunities, roving performers, and hidden surprises.
Event organiser Sam White, owner of SBW Raptors, said:
“Apocalypse Rising is more than just a scare event – it’s a full sensory experience.
"We wanted to create a Halloween night for teens and adults that delivers intensity, atmosphere, and live entertainment, all in a safe and alcohol-free environment.”
