Air Ambulance Called To Medical Emergency In West Wight

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been called to a medical emergency in the West Wight this morning (Thursday).

The helicopter landed at Colwell Common shortly after being dispatched from its new base at Southampton Airport.

The charity was alerted at around 8.20am and its medical team attended to support Isle of Wight Ambulance Service crews.

The air ambulance was back in the air by around 9.03am, taking the patient to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
