Isle Of Wight Records More Than 80 New Coronavirus Cases

The Isle of Wight has seen a further rise in coronavirus cases, according to the Government's daily figures.

Today's (Tuesday's) data shows 84 new cases have been registered, which is lower than yesterday's total of 247 cases.

It takes the overall total here - since the pandemic started - to 4,402.

There have been 2,723 COVID cases recorded on the Isle of Wight this month (January).

A total of 125 people have now died on the Island after testing positive for the illness.

The Island's case rate - per 100,000 - is 1,119.4. That is the 13th highest in the UK.
