A local charity is encouraging Islanders to focus on small, everyday actions to support their wellbeing during Mental Health Awareness Week.
IOW Youth Trust is backing the national campaign running from May 11 to 17, promoting simple steps such as meeting friends, spending time outdoors, learning a new skill or carrying out small acts of kindness.
The charity says building these habits gradually can help improve overall mental health and resilience.
As part of the week, a free “Mental Ally” session will take place at Youth Trust House on Monday, May 11 at 6pm, aimed at helping people support others in their community.
A family concert by Abbey Brass is also planned for Sunday, May 17 at 2.30pm at Castlehold Baptist Church, encouraging people to connect with friends and family.
Further information about the events and how to get involved is available on the charity’s website.

dordle is an online word puzzle game that takes the classic word-guessing formula and makes it far more challenging. Instead of solving a single hidden word, players must solve two different words at the same time using shared guesses. This simple idea completely changes the gameplay experience and creates a much deeper level of strategy.
