Major carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works in Wroxall are due to be completed today (Monday), with traffic management expected to be removed later this afternoon and evening.
Island Roads says the road will then return to normal use, although some remaining road-lining work will be carried out at a later date, once weather conditions allow.
Residents are being thanked for their patience and support during the past few months, with contractors praising the local community for its kindness throughout the project.
Island Roads has also confirmed that the temporary relaxation of parking restrictions in Wroxall will end once the road reopens, and motorists are being asked to follow all parking regulations to help keep roads safe.
Meanwhile, embankment stabilisation works on St John’s Road are due to begin on Monday 2nd March, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council.
Anyone with questions about the upcoming work can contact Island Roads directly.
