Woman In Her 50s Dies On Sandown Seafront

A woman in her 50s has died after falling from a cliff top in Sandown yesterday morning (Thursday), police have confirmed.

Police were called at 9:08am on Thursday 20 November following reports that the woman had been found on the Sandown seafront promenade.

Officers attended alongside Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, who confirmed that the woman had died.

Her next of kin have been informed.

A file is being prepared for the coroner in connection with her unexpected death.
