Woman Arrested Following Alleged Assault In East Cowes

A 19-year-old woman remains in police custody after an alleged assault in East Cowes on Friday afternoon (March 20).

Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 3:23pm to reports of an altercation on Well Road.

A man in his 30s is said to have been assaulted, suffering minor injuries.

Police later attended an address in Beatrice Avenue, where the woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent.

She remains in custody while enquiries continue.
