Witnesses Sought After Pedestrian Seriously Injured In East Cowes

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a Surron motorbike in East Cowes.
The collision happened at around 10.34pm on July 20 on Beatrice Avenue, at the junction with South Bank Road.
The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a serious injury.
A 20-year-old man from East Cowes was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance and failing to stop after a collision. He has since been released on police bail.
Officers believe the motorbike was removed from the scene by a third party before police arrived and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting reference 44260348662.
