Isle of Wight distillery Wight Whisky has secured three major honours at the World Whiskies Awards 2026, placing it among the world’s leading whisky producers.

The company’s Signature Malt Blend picked up Gold for Taste, was named Category Winner for Blended Whisky, and took the title of Best English Blended Whisky.

The awards were decided following blind tastings by an international panel of expert judges, who praised the whisky’s balance, character and craftsmanship.

Lucy Gregg, co-founder of Wight Whisky, said the recognition was a major achievement for the team.

She said the awards were a strong endorsement of the distillery’s commitment to quality, adding that being recognised on a global stage was an incredible honour.

The World Whiskies Awards form part of the World Drinks Awards, a globally respected competition celebrating excellence across the international spirits industry.

Established in 2007, the awards recognise both taste and design across a wide range of drinks categories.

Winning Best English Blended Whisky places Wight Whisky at the forefront of England’s growing whisky scene, highlighting the quality and innovation emerging from producers across the country.

The award-winning Signature Malt Blend reflects the distillery’s approach to whisky making, combining carefully selected malts, precise blending and respect for tradition with modern English innovation.
