It was a packed and memorable weekend for Vectis RFC, with teams travelling across the mainland and making big strides on and off the pitch.
The highlight came in Basingstoke, where the club’s U13s stormed into the semi-finals of the Hampshire Bowl Cup with a dominant 14–2 victory.
Tries were scored by Tom Saunders, Ed Foster, Wyatt Lee, Luca Endacott, Jay Bexon, Theo Cherry, Finley Stevens, Jasper Branston, Jay Rees and Louie Laidler.
The squad also thanked Luke Goodall of Goodall Roofing for providing new hydration bottles.
Meanwhile, the U12 Girls made history with their first-ever away trip, travelling to Havant RFC.
After a nervous start, the girls produced an impressive display of strong tackling and confident passing, earning high praise from the Havant coaching staff for their attitude and skill.
The U12 Boys also faced Havant, showing plenty of determination against a strong and physical side, while back on the Island the U14s battled Romsey RFC. Despite a tough first half, the team improved after the break with some promising attacking play.
