Isle of Wight indie stars Wet Leg have dropped a brand-new music video for their track Pokémon, fresh off the back of three Grammy Award nominations.
The band — given the nod for Alternative Performance (mangetout), Alternative Album and Best Album Cover — released the video today, taken from their second album moisturizer.
The track sees frontwoman Rhian Teasdale explore a whirlwind of emotions, while the video, directed by Elliott Arndt (of Faux Real), tells the story of a character in a bizarre relationship with a giant egg.
Alice Longyu Gao stars in the quirky, surreal clip.
Wet Leg recently wrapped up a sold-out UK and Ireland tour, which included a standout performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
They now head back to the US later this month before continuing an extensive run of international dates into 2025 and 2026.
The band — Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Ellis Durand, Henry Holmes and Joshua Mobaraki — will return to home turf next summer with a performance at the Isle of Wight Festival on 19 June 2025.
