A spell of warm spring weather is set to peak on the Isle of Wight on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach around 24°C before cooler and more unsettled conditions arrive later in the week.
The Met Office says parts of the UK could see highs of up to 26°C, with southern areas — including the Isle of Wight — enjoying well above average temperatures for early April.
Locally, Wednesday is expected to be warm and bright, with sunshine in the morning and some cloud developing later.
Light winds will make it feel pleasant, with a high of 24°C and a UV index of 6.
Conditions will remain mild into Wednesday night, before turning breezier on Thursday. While it will stay warm, with highs around 23°C, cloud will increase through the day.
From Friday, the weather becomes more unsettled, with cloudier skies and temperatures easing back slightly to around 22°C.
Overnight temperatures will also remain relatively mild, though forecasters say a more noticeable change to cooler conditions is expected beyond this period.
The Met Office is also warning of high pollen levels and increasing UV strength during sunny spells, with people advised to take care in the sun despite it still being early spring.
