Wanted Man Arrested Following Isle Of Wight Police Appeal

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with an investigation after issuing a public appeal to trace him.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed the man was arrested following enquiries and is no longer seeking assistance from the public.

Officers had earlier appealed for information to locate the man, who was wanted on recall and for allegedly breaching the conditions of an order.

He had been believed to be in the Ventnor or Ryde area.

Following the arrest, police thanked members of the public for sharing the appeal and confirmed it has now been stood down.

The force has also withdrawn permission for the previously circulated custody image to be used and has asked that it be removed from any online articles.
