Music, comedy, and seaside fun return to Southsea this August Bank Holiday weekend (22–24 August 2025) as the Victorious Festival takes over Portsmouth’s Southsea Common.

With Victorious Festival taking over Southsea Common from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 August 2025, Island festival-goers have extra late-night options to get home after the headliners.


Here are the key evening and last-return services between Ryde–Southsea (Hovertravel) and Ryde Pier Head–Portsmouth Harbour (Wightlink FastCat).

  • Hovertravel = closest to the festival. Southsea Terminal is a short walk from Southsea Common; Hoverbus connections to Portsmouth & Southsea rail station also run. Hovertravel confirms it supports events including Victorious and publishes an interactive timetable with late “flights.”

  • Wightlink “Afternoon Flyer” & late charters. Wightlink’s Victorious page lists specific extra late-night FastCats across the weekend (shown above) and highlights a late-return window up to 00:30 after the festival each night. Always book and check live timings before you set out.
