Two Youths De-Arrested Following Report Of Criminal Damage In Ryde

Two youths who were arrested in Ryde on Friday morning have since been de-arrested following further enquiries by police.
Officers were called to Tesco Extra on Brading Road shortly before 9:20am following reports that two teenage males were causing damage to shopping trolleys and pallets belonging to the store.
Police attended the scene and detained the pair nearby. They were initially arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
The arrests took place in the car park opposite the supermarket at Westridge.
However, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has since confirmed that, following further investigation, both individuals were subsequently de-arrested.
No further details have been released at this stage.
