Two New Flats Approved Above Ryde Tandoori

Two new flats are set to be created above Ryde Tandoori in the centre of Ryde.
Planning and listed building consent has been granted to convert the first and second floors of the Grade II-listed building on Union Street into two apartments.
The restaurant will continue operating on the ground floor.
One of the flats will have two double bedrooms across the first and second floors, while the other will have one double bedroom.
The council says the plans will make better use of currently underused space while protecting the historic building and neighbouring properties.
Five conditions have been attached to the approval, covering heritage protection, local amenity and planning requirements.
