Two established Isle of Wight law firms have merged, bringing together their teams and expanding the range of legal services available to clients.

Churchers, the Island’s largest solicitors, completed its merger with Eldridges Solicitors on October 1.

Eldridges has been providing legal services on the Isle of Wight for nearly 200 years, and the merger brings its staff and clients into the Churchers business.

Churchers has offices in Newport, Ryde, Cowes and Freshwater, and says it remains committed to providing accessible legal advice to individuals, families and businesses across the Island.

The merger brings together the experience of both firms, giving existing Eldridges clients access to a wider range of legal expertise while maintaining continuity of service.

Churchers Managing Partner Andrew Bryan said the firms shared the same philosophy and commitment to providing professional legal services.

He said the merger marked an exciting new chapter for both teams and would strengthen the firm's ability to offer a comprehensive range of legal support while maintaining a personal approach.

Adam Jessup, partner at Eldridges, now part of Churchers, said the merger would allow the firm to continue supporting its clients while providing access to a broader range of legal services.

He added that the team remained committed to the standards of service and expertise clients had come to expect.
