A new independent medical aesthetics and skin health clinic in Newport welcomed dozens of visitors to a special discovery evening yesterday (Thursday).

Cala Medical Aesthetics, based at the Innovation Centre on St Cross Business Park, opened its doors to showcase a range of treatments and technology.

The clinic has been founded by Sally Sykes, a registered nurse with more than ten years of NHS experience, who subsequently completed master's-level aesthetics training with Harley Academy.

Thursday's event gave guests the opportunity to explore the premises, meet industry experts and learn more about different approaches to skin health and personalised treatment.

A live demonstration of Tixel technology was among the evening's highlights, allowing visitors to see the skin treatment equipment in action.

Representatives from Smart Group and skincare brand Medik8 were also in attendance to answer questions about treatments, professional skincare products and aftercare.

Many visitors took the opportunity to experience a taster session on the clinic's Ultra Tesla Seat.

The event ran from 5pm until 7pm, with refreshments and gift bags provided for guests.

Sally says her ambition is to offer an approach to aesthetics centred on understanding individual skin concerns and developing personalised treatment plans, rather than encouraging unnecessary procedures.

The new clinic is based at Office J1A, Innovation Centre, Newport.
