Two-Car Collision Causes Delays On Newport To West Wight Route

Drivers are being warned of delays following a two-vehicle collision on Middle Road this morning (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the junctions of Middle Road with Lynch Lane and Elm Lane at around 10:45.

A Citroen C3 and a Honda CRV were involved in the collision, with both vehicles reported to have suffered minor damage to their front ends.

The road remains open, although traffic is currently being managed around the Citroen, which is blocking part of the carriageway.

Police, firefighters and paramedics have attended the scene.

No injuries have been reported.

Recovery of the vehicles is now taking place, with motorists advised to approach the area with care and expect some disruption while the incident is dealt with.
