The countdown is on as leading cardiac charity Heartbeat prepares to bring its much-loved ‘Beat the Heat’ quiz night to Yarmouth for the very first time.
Taking place on Thursday (16 October) at the Royal Solent Yacht Club, the event promises an evening of friendly competition, great food, and fundraising — all in support of the charity’s vital heart care work.
Sponsored by Emerald Elite VA Services Ltd, this is the second time the charity has brought its quiz to the Isle of Wight, following a hugely successful night in Ryde earlier this year, which raised over £1,200.
There are just a handful of spaces left, with teams of up to six invited to take part and test their general knowledge while helping to raise funds for patients and families supported by Heartbeat House.
Tanya Harder, Community Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Heartbeat, said:
“Our Beat the Heat quiz nights are always really popular, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the event to Yarmouth for the first time.
"It’s not just a fun night out — it’s also a way to celebrate and support the services we provide.
"The proceeds will help fund our work as well as the Rotary Heartbeat House, which offers a ‘home from home’ for patients and their families.”
Tickets cost £25 per person, which includes a delicious curry meal.
